SetSignal Meetings for Zoom
Last updated: October 15, 2026
What it does
SetSignal books retirement-benefit consultations between public employees and licensed financial services agents. When an agent connects Zoom, every new appointment booked with that agent gets its own Zoom meeting, hosted on the agent’s Zoom account. The join link goes into the confirmation email, the reminders and the agent’s calendar invite.
- The meeting is created when the appointment is booked.
- If the appointment is rescheduled, the meeting moves to the new time.
- If the appointment is cancelled, the meeting is deleted.
- SetSignal records when the agent and the client joined the meeting, so the agent can see which appointments were attended.
SetSignal only ever touches meetings it created. It never reads recordings, audio, video, chat, transcripts or any other meeting on your account.
Before you start
- An active SetSignal agent account.
- A paid (Pro or higher) Zoom account. Consultations run 45 minutes and free Zoom accounts end meetings at 40 minutes.
Adding the app
- Sign in to SetSignal at app.setsignal.net.
- Open My Calendar in the left-hand menu.
- In the Zoom (meeting links) row, click Connect.
- Sign in to Zoom if asked, review the permissions, and click Allow.
- You return to SetSignal, and the Zoom row now shows Connected as your Zoom email address.
Only you, or a SetSignal administrator helping you, can connect Zoom for your account.
Using the app
There is nothing to do day to day. Once connected:
- Each new booking creates a Zoom meeting on your account, with the waiting room off and join-before-host on, so your client is never left waiting outside.
- Your Google or Microsoft calendar invite carries the Zoom link instead of a Google Meet or Teams link, so your client only ever sees one link.
- Attendance appears in the Zoom show-up card on the My Appointments page.
- Appointments booked before you connected keep the link they were sent.
If SetSignal ever cannot reach Zoom when an appointment is booked, the appointment is still booked and uses your calendar’s own meeting link instead.
Removing the app
You can remove the app either way:
- From SetSignal: My Calendar → Zoom row → Disconnect.
- From Zoom: sign in at marketplace.zoom.us, open Manage → Added Apps, find SetSignal Meetings and click Remove.
Either way, SetSignal immediately deletes the Zoom access tokens it holds for you and stops creating Zoom meetings. New appointments go back to your calendar’s own meeting link. Zoom meetings already sent to clients stay on your Zoom account and keep working, so nobody is stranded with a dead link; delete them in Zoom if you prefer.
To have the remaining Zoom-related records (your Zoom user ID and email, and attendance times) deleted as well, email support@setsignal.net.
